Happy Memorial Day

I did I quick and easy mani for Memorial Day.

I used Pure Ice Bite Me for my pinky and pointer finger (I think it makes a great accent). I painted the other nails white and used I make up sponge with L.A Colors Wired in a blotting motion for thumb (I went over it a couple times to get the desired shade). I then used Mash Plate # 49 for the stars. To create the stripes on my middle finger I used toothpick to apply Wet n Wild  Wild Shine Red Red. I finished with a top coat and Viola!

Spring Nail Polish Trend: Texture.

Love the idea of, glam, glittery nails but not quite ready to go full-on-glitz? This new polish combines black glitter with pastel colors giving you  pretty feminine, but with an edge. (Lesley Kennedy)

The  nail polishes featured in this newspaper article for this trend are from the Deborah Lippman Staccato collection where a bottle will make you $19 poorer.

Lazy Girl French Mani

So I asked a friend of mine to pick the colors for my next mani to which he replied "I like french tips", so that's what I did. I must admit I was feeling a lil lazy when I did his mani so I took a short cut. Instead of taping off the tip to create the white tips I decided to use a make up sponge to make the white tips, pretty much in the same fashion as if you were doing an ombre design. I added a pink heart decal to the ring finger and added a top coat and Voila!

Can a Leopard change its Spots?

Well if those spots happen to be incorporated in a nail art design then it sure can. This weeks design is a recreation of I saw over on ChitChatNails a couple weeks ago but with exams to study for I didn't really have the time to try it out. Now that I am between exams I thought I would give it a try.

Blue Gradient/Ombre Recreation

So for this weeks design I once again decided to recreate a look form one of my favorite nail bloggers Mixed Mama. She recently posted this gorgeous blue gradient manicure and when I saw it I knew this the opportunity for me get to use my NYC East Village polish again as my first experience with it had me on the outs with it. Learn how to create color gradients/ombre here.

For my based color I used NYC East Village. Gorgeous color but very thin formula, I had to use 3 coats of this polish to get it to resemble the color in the bottle. To create the gradient I used L.A. colors Color Craze in Wired (middle color) and Pure Ice All Night Long (tip). I topped it off with one of my favorite glitter polish NYC Starry Silver Glitter.

Sticky Icky

Now this blog is not necessarily a polish review blog, its more of a "Hey this what I'm wearing on my nails" blog. But should the need arise for me to say a few words about a particular product I will do so. With that said let me get right into it.
